McLaren Artura Spider

The New Artura Spider delivers complete driver focus and a heightened sense of engagement. Super-light engineering, race-honed dynamics and advanced electrification, it is driving spirit. Amplified.
Central to this is the new Retractable Hard Top, which enhances every sensation. From stealth EV mode for seamless urban travel, to the visceral, elemental thrill of open-air performance driving. Artura Spider is the complete supercar.

Amplify Every Sense

It’s woven into our DNA. Driver engagement is a fundamental that is never compromised.
Every technical innovation that’s part of Artura Spider is shaped through this single-minded lens. Power. Handling. Feedback. All are engineered to maximise connection between car and driver. To exhilarate. And the Retractable Hard Top heightens the intensity of every moment further still.

The Next Generation

The Artura Spider is living proof, as bold theory is transformed into visceral reality. The car delivers significant power output – boosted by hybrid technology. A new aerothermal concept that’s unique to the Artura Spider solves the technical challenge of integrating its remarkable new Retractable Hard Top.
These innovations – and many others – all contribute to the Artura Spider’s unique DNA. And allow it to be both more performance focused and more usable everyday. Without a hint of compromise.

The Artura Spider features bold new design and engineering throughout. Its Retractable Hard Top (RHT) is a perfect example. And a key part of the car’s uncompromising spirit. Eight near-silent E-Motors actuate the system, allowing the roof to be raised or lowered in just 11 seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/h (31 mph). It can also be operated from the vehicle key when parked. Innovation is the key to the roof mechanism’s seamless turn of speed. Electric actuation allows elements of the roof to move simultaneously as the tonneau cover folds back, so there’s no need for a bulky mechanism. Even with the roof closed, you can still enjoy the open sky – thanks to the optional Electrochromic Roof. This distinctive McLaren technology has been enhanced for Artura Spider, providing greater contrast between light and shade. At the touch of a button.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE HYBRID POWERTRAIN

McLaren has a rich heritage when it comes to maximising the potential of performance hybrid technology. First came the pioneering P1TM hypercar. Then the awe-inspiring Speedtail, which used its electrified powertrain to achieve speeds of over 250 mph. Artura Spider is shaped by this advanced technical expertise. The result is the next-generation supercar.

A potent, compact V6 petrol engine for the open road. Seamlessly combined with electric power to outperform many larger capacity engines while reducing consumption. Thanks to our relentless focus on minimising weight and maximising performance, the hybrid system has minimal impact on power-to-weight ratio, while providing instant torque and blistering acceleration.

THE ART OF THE POSSIBLE

Design an Artura Spider as individual as you. MSO takes personalisation to extraordinary lengths. We place you at the heart of the process, working closely with you to shape a truly unique car. Performance, innovation and highly skilled craftsmanship combined to realise individuality.

If a person writes a check without sufficient funds in an associated account to cover it, the check will bounce, or be returned for insufficient funds. Each state has laws regulating how merchants may respond to bounced checks. In Connecticut, the merchant may file a civil suit and press criminal charges if the check writer does not reimburse him for a bounced check after the merchant has sent several notices regarding the matter.

Posted Notice Requirement

Merchants and other business owners who accept checks must post a notice where customers are likely to see it warning them of the potential consequences of writing bad checks. The notice must include the civil penalties that bad check writers may face, the appropriate Connecticut statute number and an advisory that the check writer may also face criminal penalties

Civil and Criminal Penalties

As of 2010, civil courts may require the check writer to reimburse the merchant for the value of the check plus pay up to $750 if he has no back account or $400 if the check is returned for insufficient funds. If the merchant chooses to press criminal charges, the bad check writer may face a fine of up to $1,000 and up to one year in jail. Writing a bad check is a felony charge if the check was for more than $1,000 and a misdemeanor if written for a lesser amount.

Required Written Notices

If a check bounces, the merchant must send the check writer a letter by certified mail at the check writer's last known address or place of business. Usually this letter is sent to the address on the writer's check. The letter must inform the writer that the check was returned ask him to reimburse the merchant for the amount of the check and inform him of the potential criminal or civil penalties if he fails to do so. If the check writers does not respond to the letter within 15 days of receipt, the merchant must send a second letter. This letter must inform the check writer that he has 30 days to reimburse the merchant before the merchant takes legal action against him. Both letters must be written in both English and Spanish.
